A glorious day in the sun in North Norfolk. It's good to be back after a few years- last time we were here was when we were part of the successful World Record attempt in 2018. Unfortunately Ade went down with the dreaded lurgy just beforehand but with Paul and Jill ably covering all was good musically, and the dancing was excellent. Hard work in the procession in the heat though!
What a lovely afternoon! The sun shone and a large and happy crowd in a celebratory mood made this a memorable session. We danced in the road outside the Ship, then on the patio at the back courtesy of the pub. Possibly the largest ever set for the public dance, almost ended up in the sea... Thank you to the the Dunwich Jubilee Committee for the invite
A lovely session in the evening sun, at a great venue
After an abortive couple of sessions because of rain and covid, we finally got to do a dance... before it rained! Not to be deterred, we waited till the rain abated, then continued dancing despite the fact it was pitch black.
A demonstration session that was much appreciated, thank you for your hospitality!.
A very good meal in great company, followed by some songs and tunes from our talented musicians. Thanks to the White Horse for hosting.
Welcome to 2022! Two years to the day since our last dance-out (since Boxing Day 2021 was a washout), and it felt really good to be back again and meeting old friends. The weather was great- sunny and warm, lots of people around, beer flowing in the Plough & Sail, and some pretty good dancing, considering. Very good to be with Pretty Grim and Danegeld again- it was fun to join in with PG's communal dance, and to attempt a joint Carr Lodge with Danegeld (with, surprisingly, the same level of success joint dances usually have...)
Well done to all, and looking forward to a more normal and successful season this year!
